Arizona Tamil School, a unit of Arizona Tamil Sangam, is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. It is dedicated to promoting Tamil language and culture within the community. 

• Tamil school was started by volunteers with less than 40 students, in the year of 2007 at Chandler location. 

• From the year 2007 to 2018 - for 11 years, California Tamil Academy books were used to conduct classes every week on Saturday at Kids world learning center location. 

• In 2017, the 10th-year graduation ceremony was celebrated. 

• In the year 2018-2019, we moved to Dobson academy location as the students count was increasing. 

• In the year 2019-2020, classes were conducted at Conley Elementary school. 

• In the year 2020-2021, got affiliated with International Tamil Academy (ITA) and started following their structured curriculum. 

• Due to the pandemic from the year 2020 to 2022, online classes were conducted successfully using Microsoft Teams. 

• In the year 2022, the 15th year graduation ceremony was celebrated. 

• From the academic year 2022 to the current year, classes are being conducted at Hamilton high school location. 

• This school year marks our 18th anniversary. 

தமிழ்மொழி இலக்கண, இலக்கிய, வரலாற்று அடிப்படை கொண்ட மிகப் பழமையானதொரு தென்னிந்திய மொழி. புலம்பெயர்ந்து வாழும் குழந்தைகளுக்கும், இளைஞர்களுக்கும் தமிழ் மொழி கற்றுத் தருவதே அரிசோனா தமிழ்ப்பள்ளியின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும். தமிழ் கற்பிப்பது மட்டுமல்லாமல், இசை, நடனம், நாடகம், போன்ற தமிழர் பண்பாட்டை ஒட்டிய நிகழ்ச்சிகளுக்கும் ஆதரவு தந்து தமிழையும், தமிழ் பண்பாட்டையும் போற்றுவது இப்பள்ளியின் விருப்பமாகும். 

Tamil language is an ancient South Indian Language with a long history and rich literature and comprehensive grammar. The main objective of Arizona Tamil School is to teach Tamil language to the Diaspora Children and Youth. In addition to teaching Tamil, the school encourages cultural activities such as music, dance, drama and any art form based on Tamil language and Tamil culture to promote Tamil and Tamil culture. 

Arizona Tamil School is affiliated with the International Tamil Academy, ITA (Previously called California Tamil Academy, CTA), using their well-written syllabus. Not only does ITA focus on teaching children how to read, write and speak tamil, but they also encourage cultural activities such as singing, dancing and drama that are based off of tamil language and culture.
